Pichwai Painting, this form of painting originated almost 400 years ago in the time-honored town of Nathdwara which is located in the state named Rajasthan, India. Painting a Pichwai could take several months as they are painted on a cloth and require extreme skill. They are intrinsic and vibrant. In the following pichwai painting we observe the Radha-Krishna surrounded by Gopis and nature. Radha-Krishna are collectively knows as the combined forms of masculine and feminine realities of God. Some devotees worship Radha as they believe it is the only way to attain Krishna since she has merciful nature. It is a horizontal Pichwai painting on cotton cloth( 36 x 60 inches). It is without frame.
