Traditional Scroll Painters (Patuas) Developed The Kalighat Painting Style And Changed Their Linear Narrative Styles And Adopted Single Pictures With One or Two Figures Over A Period of Time. Kalighat Paintings Were Essentially Water Color Paintings Executed On Paper And Are Characterized By Their Bold Sweeping Brush Lines, Bold Colors And A Simplification of Forms. They Depict Hindu Gods, Goddesses, And Other Mythological Characters And A Variety of Themes From Daily Urban Life of That Time. Vertical Folk Art of Bengal On Paper in 29X44 inches.
